WRESTLING DANGAL IN MEMORY OF BHIM SINGH

By Deepak Ansuia Prasad

A big dangal was held at Village Rampur Kaasna, near Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in memory of a great wrestler of the village, Bhim Pahlwan, an Arjun awardee, commemorating his birthday on 7th April.

This bout was decided on the basis of points., however it was a dangal match, which is ususally decided by fall. Indian wrestling is seeing new experiments in competitions, mostly the international style is being adapted.

This match was between Renowned Pahlwan Vikram of Guru Jasram Akhada, and a pupil of Guru Hanuman. The bout was decided on the basis of points, as happens in international wrestling, Vikram won the bout 4-1.
